1. WHAT DATA WE COLLECT

Brey-I collects and stores the following data when you use the service:

  • ▸ Email address and display name
  • ▸ Chat messages and AI conversation history
  • ▸ Calendar events you create
  • ▸ Notes and tasks
  • ▸ AI memories (context the AI remembers about you)
  • ▸ Uploaded images

2. HOW DATA IS STORED

All data is stored in a PostgreSQL database on a private server. We do not use cloud-hosted database services. The server is maintained and administered by the site owner (Trevor).

3. NO SELLING OF DATA

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data to anyone. Brey-I is a personal project, not a commercial product. Your data is yours.

4. COOKIES

Brey-I uses session cookies only, managed through NextAuth, to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or any third-party advertising cookies.

5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Anthropic Claude API: When you chat with Brey-I, your messages are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate AI responses. This means your conversation content is processed by Anthropic's servers. Please review Anthropic's privacy policy for details on how they handle data.

6. DATA RETENTION

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data will be removed from our database. Backups may retain data for a short period after deletion.

7. YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to:

  • ▸ Export all of your data at any time
  • ▸ Request complete deletion of your account and data
  • ▸ Know what data is stored about you

8. SECURITY

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and restricted server access. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Brey-I is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact the site admin.
